Pelvic Ultrasound Scans
A pelvic ultrasound scan is performed to assess the female reproductive organs. Your consultant will discuss any pathology (abnormal scan findings) that is noted following your scan. Serial scans may be recommended to monitor follicular (small fluid filled sacs within each ovary) development.
When you become pregnant, we offer scans up to 12 weeks of pregnancy. In addition, we also offer the antenatal screening test called the Serenity test, which is the most sensitive screening test available for common fetal chromosomal problems such as Down’s syndrome.
