Why is CRGH moving care from the City clinic to Great Portland Street?

We are consolidating patient care at our flagship clinic on Great Portland Street. This means we can provide all consultations, scans, treatments and support services in one place, with direct access to our full team of specialists and our state-of-the-art laboratories. This change allows us to focus our investment into a single centre of excellence, enhancing your experience and ensuring we continue to deliver the best possible fertility outcomes.

Is the City clinic closing down?

No. This is not a closure in the traditional sense. It is a consolidation of services so that all ongoing patient care now takes place at our Great Portland Street clinic. This allows us to bring our team and expertise together under one roof, giving you streamlined access to treatments, laboratories, and support services — all in one convenient location.

When is the move to Great Portland Street taking place?

The consolidation of patient care from our City clinic to Great Portland Street will take effect from 18th August 2025. From this date, all appointments - including consultations, scans, and treatments - will take place at our Great Portland Street clinic. Our team is here to ensure a smooth transition for you, and we’ll continue to support you every step of the way.

Will I still see the same consultant and team?

Your care will continue to be overseen by the consultant who led your initial consultation, ensuring consistency and continuity throughout your treatment. While you may see different members of our clinical team during your visits, all consultants and care team members are relocating to our GPS clinic, and your full medical history, treatment plan, and clinical notes will transfer seamlessly to support ongoing, coordinated care.

How will this affect my treatment?

There will be no changes to your treatment plan. Moving your care to GPS simply means you will have everything you need — consultations, scans, procedures, and support services — in one location. This often makes scheduling and attending appointments simpler and more convenient.

What if I’m not currently in treatment - is my cryostorage still safe?

Yes, absolutely. If you have embryos, eggs, or sperm in cryostorage with us, they will remain securely stored and fully protected. This consolidation of services does not affect the safety or management of your stored samples in any way. You do not need to take any action. If and when you're ready to resume treatment, our team will be here to support you as always. If you have specific questions about your storage arrangements, please contact our patient care team.

Is the Great Portland Street clinic easy to get to?

Yes. Our GPS clinic is centrally located with excellent transport links, just a short distance from the City site. If you’d like, our team can provide directions and help plan your journey.

Will this impact the cost of my treatment?

No. There are no additional costs to you because of this change. Your treatment fees remain exactly the same.

What if I have specific concerns about my own fertility journey?

We understand that each patient’s circumstances are unique. If you have any personal questions or would like to discuss how this change relates to your individual care, please don’t hesitate to contact our team. We are here to support you and ensure you feel comfortable every step of the way.

Who can I speak to if I have more questions?

Our patient care team is always happy to help. If you have concerns or would like to arrange a visit to the GPS clinic ahead of your next appointment, please get in touch. We’re here to make this transition as smooth as possible for you.
