About Carmel

Carmel has dedicated the past 20 years, with work that she is most passionate about, that is emotionally supporting people with their fertility journey and early pregnancy.

Specialist Skills:

Over the past 20 years Carmel has acquired her wide experience and expertise in fertility and pregancy counselling within NHS Obstretics and Gynaecology settings at The Royal Free and BartsHealth. Since 2012, Carmel has worked with CRGH on a freelance basis and in May 2023, she joined the team two days a week as an ‘in-house Counsellor’.

In addition, since 2011 and ongoing, Carmel has extensive experience of working within the field of Assisted Reproduction. Including, Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI), Menopause, Fertility Preservation, Reproductive Endocrinology and Urology.

Carmel is an honorary guest lecturer at University College London (UCL) on two MSc programmes, ‘Fertility, infertility; Science and Society’ and ‘Reproductive Science’. Carmel has been invited to speak at various conferences, she has publications and in 2022, she contributed to a chapter on Fertility Preservation ‘Problem Solving in Cancer and Fertility’.

Carmel has supported many people with their fertility journey, IVF and pregnancies/postnatally and she brings wholeheartedness, authenticity and understanding to this work.
