About
Mr Basegmez graduated in Medicine from Marmara University in Istanbul. He subsequently undertook formal training in In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) at Acıbadem University, where he developed a strong foundation in reproductive medicine and assisted conception.
After obtaining Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), Mr Basegmez began practising in the United Kingdom at Concept Fertility, working alongside Mr Kamal Ojha. During more than five years at the clinic, he gained extensive experience in fertility care and assisted reproductive technologies, supporting couples through a wide range of treatment pathways before continuing his clinical practice at Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health (CRGH).
Mr Basegmez has particular expertise in advanced gynaecological ultrasound, including three-dimensional (3D) pelvic imaging, saline infusion sonography, HyCoSy (hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography), and first-trimester ultrasound assessment. His clinical approach integrates high-level diagnostic imaging with comprehensive fertility and reproductive care.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Basegmez completed a Master’s degree in Stem Cell Engineering at Istinye University. This academic training has strengthened his interest in translational research and the evolving role of regenerative science within reproductive medicine.
Mr Basegmez’s clinical and academic interests focus on personalised reproductive medicine, combining evidence-based IVF practice with emerging developments in regenerative and longevity medicine. He believes that every patient’s journey is unique, and his approach centres on careful listening, continuity of care, and tailoring treatment to individual circumstances. His aim is to ensure that every patient feels informed, supported, and confident throughout their fertility journey.
